  • Welcome to our blog!

Like most wedding photographers on the North Coast of NSW, we are passionate about photography and stoked to be shooting weddings in paradise! ... But rather than bore you with details of experience and equipment, we'd like to share some more important, unique and mindless facts:

    • Diana responds well to surprise gifts; has an affinity with doonas in Autumn + Winter + Spring; loves pho & hates it when her tea goes cold
    • I don't have the necessary genetics required to Zumba; and ever since I started training to run a marathon, there has been a slow but sure lifestyle change for both of us. As a result, the Purple Tiger has emerged.

Check here to see how we work & check here to see Diana's take on who we are

Marty & Heather – A ‘Magic’ Byron Bay Wedding

What an absolutely gorgeous day we had on Saturday!! Not only were we photographing a great wedding in  Byron Bay but we also got to watch some of the Byron Bay Triathlon just below the apartment Heather was getting ready in. The weather was magic and there was another touch of ‘Magic’ involved for the guests of the day too!:-)

This was definitely a wedding full of the essence of Byron. Heather and Marty carefully planned a wonderful surprise for all their guests. They were all to be picked up from the Byron Beach Cafe on the double decker Magic Bus, adorned with floral splendour and whisked to the mystery ceremony location. We were informed by Marty that as the bus turned up Coolamon Scenic Drive overlooking the Byron hinterland – there were lots of gasps of adoration for the vista. We do live in such a beautiful part of the country!:-)

The Magic bus stopped at it’s destination – Coorabell Hall, where the ceremony took place. However, sure to steal the show, Heather, her bridesmaids and father pulled up in a bright red stretch combi (affectionately known as the Luv Machine) – and it certainly turned heads!

For the final touch of Byron, we headed up to the famous, most Easterly point of Australia, Byron Lighthouse just in time for some beautiful sunset shots as the breeze welcomed the night air. The evening ended back at the Byron Beach cafe for the reception, where Marty and Heather could now relax and mingle with their guests after enjoying their day full of splendour.

Marty and Heather, thanks for being such a relaxed couple and allowing us to be part of your special day! You did well with organising the surprise and putting together such a great day! We hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!

Toby & Donna – Yamba Wedding

Well I’m sure you would all agree that we definitely had a glorious Easter! The weather was certainly pristine and it was perfect for us to photograph Toby and Donna’s wedding at Green Point in Yamba. These two had travelled up from Kangaroo Creek with their 3 energetic young boys – Austin, William and Jonathan and was blessed with dripping golden sunshine! The day started in the small town of Maclean, where Donna had her makeup done at Endessa Beauty Spot and proceeded with getting dressed at the Angourie Rainforest Retreat.  The ceremony at Green Point was short and sweet, leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the gorgeous afternoon light on the location shoot before heading back to Angourie for the reception. It was great to see these two enjoying eachother’s company as newly weds!

Congratulations Toby and Donna! Your day was perfect and we hope you enjoy your honeymoon! Thanks for allowing us to be part of your special day!

Todd & Rachael – Boulders Headland Wedding

Welcome to 2012 and our first wedding for the year!! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and had some time to relax and catch up with loved ones, as we did!

First up for the year are the newly wed Todd and Rachael Wade! These two have been together for a number of years now and have spent the last 5 years living and working in London. Considering that Christmas was always a time when family got together, it was the perfect time for this adventure-loving couple to come home and tie the knot. We couldn’t help but laugh when we found out that secretly this pair was competing to knock images from Luke and Cristy Wade’s wedding off our website! A bit of sibling rivalry doesn’t hurt right??:)So let’s see… how do you think they went?

Todd and Rach, congratulations!!! Your day was magnificent and we hope the future ahead is equally, if not moreso!! Make sure you lap up some more of this beautiful sunshine before heading back to London!

Bernard & Sandra – Yamba Main Beach Wedding

What a glorious day for a Yamba wedding we had on Saturday! Not only was it a good day to be at the beach, but it was a great day for a wedding at Yamba Main Beach. The sound of rolling waves lapping up gently on the sand and guests seated and standing under a nearby marquee was what Sandra arrived at to greet her nervous Bernie. Full of smiles and tears they exchanged vows and became Mr. and Mrs. Wunsch! With Bernie’s mix of German and English background combined with Sandra’s French and Portuguese nationality, it makes for a delightful European mix and an even more gorgeous son, River!

The day started at Yamba Blue Dolphin Holiday Park where the flurry of ‘getting ready’ activities happened and ended with the reception at the Yamba Golf Club. In between we got to enjoy the balmy Spring weather and Sandra and Bernie’s easy-going, relaxed personalities. It was easy to tell that they are very much in love!

Thanks for allowing us to be part of your special day guys … and in the words of Sandra “It was really siiiick!”:)

Matt & Jamey – Lismore wedding

Last Saturday, Jamey walked down the aisle at Lismore’s Anglican church to the boy who captured her heart 6 years ago. Finally, they were going to be together forever! Tears flowed early and throughout the ceremony as friends and family witnessed Matt & Jamey’s vows during the beautiful service. Afterwards, while the sun was still shining, we wisked them off to the Butterfly Walk, where these two had their e-session. We managed to capture some gorgeous shots of Matt & Jamey before rain cut short our plans. Needing to think fast on our feet.. or rather back in the car as it poured down, we decided to continue our shoot in the plaza of Southern Cross University (our familiar stomping ground) to keep everyone happy and dry for some group shots.

A special mention must go to Deb Seib from Ballina Lennox Head Hire Cars who, not only drove the stretch limo and looked after the bridal party, but volunteered herself to assist us during the shoot also. Thank you Debbie for your attention to detail and willingness to help – especially in the rain! You are a champ and any bridal couple that books your service is definitely in for some great service!!

Finally, Congratulations to you Matt & Jamey, for a great wedding and here’s to a life together forever! Enjoy Tahiti and maybe you’ll get a chance to check these out while you are away!
